To discriminate against a student is to single them out for different treatment based on a physical characteristic, religious belief, or political affiliation.
The idea that there is something so uniquely difficult about being a woman drives me nuts. I grew up with all brothers and now have sons (and a husband of 30 yrs). You can bet I wouldn't trade places with them - they have a whole world of challenges that I've never had to deal with.
Like I said, the problem is faculty.
