One of the things I will be reporting on at my Substack is how ASU professors discuss this political season. These are persons who, in their classes, teach students not to use straw men or ad hominem arguments. They claim to teach their students how to try and understand those they disagree with and show empathy. But since 2016, such professors have given in to their worst and basest impulses in how they speak about those with whom they disagree (conservatives, Republicans, Christians). So far, what I’ve seen on social media is professors using profanity to describe the debate. Are these the thought leaders who can teach their students how to use logic and think clearly?
I used to know someone quite well in the Chemistry Dept. That person would hold secular meetups off campus and told me (in a very passionate way) how much they despised organized religion. I wasn’t a practicing Christian at the time but, looking back It was creepy with a demonic spirit.. Moreover, This person is in an influential position. Since then, I’ve been baptized and our family follow Jesus. Arizona Christian College for my kids, if they decide to pursue a college degree.

Logic? They haven’t taken logic. Something called Critical Thunking maybe.
