They destroyed their Master’s degree but want another one

My School at ASU is closing its only Master’s degree. It is called the Master’s in Integrative Arts and Sciences. It was really one of a kind nationally. As a School, we were ahead of the game in integrative studies. That is why I got hired, because of my publications in philosophy, religious studies, theology, and history. I’ve always loved the interaction between disciplines. And when we focused on that we were at our best. This was before the radical left made every event and faculty meeting political. The classes embodied the DEI “decenter” “decolonize” “social justice” agenda and no one was interested.

My School is poorly run and has been for a very long time. Our enrollment is terrible. And the leadership managed to destroy the MAIS degree. It is being shut down. This is one of the ways you will see God’s providence work in judgement. Something is allowed to continue for a while, take 20 years of people’s lives, and then it withers and comes to nothing. One of the people who helped develop this degree said, “I gave birth to it and now I am seeing it die.”

This is a consistent theme in the scripture. Like grass they spring up, can seem to be doing well for a while, but soon wither and are blown away like dust. They are forgotten. Those years are lost and can never be regained. That work came to nothing. It was not done to honor the Lord but increasingly was done for the radical leftist agenda.

You will see that the public is not interested in degrees pushing the radical leftist agenda. But as I’ve told you in previous posts, the faculty cannot see this. They are doubling down and offering more classes about how to “protest” and about gender studies (without being able to define a woman).

Any competent leadership would say, “we need to figure out why this degree died before we start another one. Who is responsible and what did they do wrong?” You won’t see anything like that. They will construct another master’s degree, most likely even more radical, and God will permit this to take up more of their lives until it also withers.
