The School of Social Transformation has posted its fall speakers series. If you follow the web link below you will also see that they list their previous years’ speaker series. Do you see any patterns in the speakers and topics they select? It is all completely one-sided. There isn’t even a half-hearted attempt at exploring issues from different perspectives.
Justice is definitely an important topic for a university to study. The first president of the Academy (Plato) wrote his most important book (The Republic) in an attempt to define “justice.” The School of Social Transformation seems to define justice in the same as Thrasymachus from that work. The idea is that justice is the interest of the stronger (the oppressor), and so now we need to flip who is the oppressor. It is the oppressed turn to be the strong and get justice.
This is a completely false definition of justice, and Plato demolishes it in less than one chapter.
Someone might object, “There are other schools at ASU that also just present one side, like a Straussian school that only considers topics through that lens.” Even if that is true, it is completely different. The School of Social Transformation only brings in Democrat politics and attempts to influence elects for the Democrats. It has taken a political side and is using the state university to advance its political goals.
Legislators, this seems like an issue you’d be interested in investigating. Parents, be aware that your student will not be taught how to consider multiple perspectives. These professors say that critical thinking is important, but look at what they actually do. They are unable to think outside of their own lens. It even strikes them as odd to ask them to do so because, in their mind, there is only the right view (this) and the evil, unjust view (conservatives, Christians).
Can a Christian parent still send a student to ASU?

Can a Christian parent send their kid anywhere? All schooling from kindergarten and beyond is entirely one sided. Even Christian schools are doing the same things! My son went to local Jesuit Brophy college prep and it was quite possibly the most woke and indoctrinating high school in the state.
