My substack has been devoted entirely to exposing and reporting on the radical left’s misuse of ASU resources. However, if you’ve seen my bio, you know that I am involved in many other aspects of life. I am also a pastor, a jiu-jitsu instructor, as well as a husband and father. I believe we need to both expose what is harmful and build up what is good.
One of my other projects is on Spotify, where I record short devotions about the Bible. I want to keep these around 5-8 minutes long and make them easy for a person to listen to throughout the day. My hope is they will draw you into the Bible for deeper thought and reflection on how it applies to your life. Here is the link.
In Romans 13:11-14, Paul says:
“11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
Here, Paul draws a stark contrast between the works of darkness and Christ. The works of darkness promote lusts. The “flesh” is our fallen nature, which loves sin. It says sin should be a point of pride. But when we are saved by Christ, we put on the armor of light. We must be built up in our faith so that we can become mature, learning how to discern between good and evil. Paul uses a strong word: make no provision for the flesh.
Our universities are in a dark place. This needs to be faithfully reported on. But we also need to know the source of salvation. If you haven’t turned to Christ I hope you will do so. Read the Gospel of John and consider carefully his words and works.
Thank you for adding new Daily Devotions to Spotify. 😊
I’m glad to see that some of these universities are finally taking measures to rid the Hamas encampments. It is unfortunate however that some are actually negotiating with them.
I agree, find the lord and find your true self!
