Thank you for reading, subscribing, and sharing this Substack. Many of you follow my work across a range of topics—philosophy, higher education, culture, and the clarity of God’s revelation. What ties these together is a single mission. I want to state that mission plainly so that you can understand what I do and so that we can measure success together.
This is my mission in the secular public university.
1️⃣ Expose the Ideological Capture of Higher Education
A growing number of professors use their classrooms, curricula, programs, and university resources to advance a particular ideology. It goes by many names—DEI, anti-racism, anti-whiteness studies, decolonizing pedagogy, LGBTQ+ theory—but they form a single family of radicalism.
This movement hides behind positive language: equity, justice, inclusion, helping the helpless, love, empathy. But its philosophical foundations are darker:
Racial essentialism—dividing humans into identity groups and judging moral worth based on racial categories.
Gender deconstruction—denying basic human reality and replacing it with Judith Butler-style gender confusion ideology.
Conflict theory—interpreting all of history as oppressors vs. oppressed, courtesy of Marx and his heirs.
Critical theory—using the academy to undermine the “oppressor” class which is not just economic but also a skin color (“whiteness”)
Secular spirituality—from raw materialism to occultism to witchcraft and goddess-worship, anything except biblical Christianity.
Their stated enemy is “whiteness” and “heteronormativity” and “capitalism”. Their actual enemy is biblical Christianity. That becomes obvious when any non-white Christian also receives condemnation for speaking up against DEI LGBTQ—what matters is conformity to their ideology. Or, when a white rich woman is appointed to be Archbishop of Canterbury against the viewpoint of African pastors from impoverished nations and the radical professors side with the “whiteness.”
Some faculty are simply swept up in the dogma—what the Soviets referred to as “useful idiots.” But others are fully aware of what they are pushing. They are willing to mislead parents, donors, taxpayers—and even university governing boards—to remake the university in their ideological image.
My mission begins by revealing this. I show what is happening in our classrooms, not what the marketing brochures pretend.
2️⃣ Equip Students and Citizens to Refute False Philosophy
It is not enough to expose falsehood; we must replace it with reason and truth.
The ideology dominating universities today is not driven by careful thought. It is driven by:
grievance
envy
disordered empathy weaponized into hatred
virtue-signaling in place of virtue
lust and identity as the measure of morality
It promises salvation through works—DEI indulgences, gender activism, and ideological conformity. It rejects both grace and forgiveness. In its moral universe, redemption is earned by performing outrage.
As long as such bigotry is presented to students as “the truth of the matter” rather than studied as one philosophy among others, students need the resources to examine and refute those claims rationally.
That is what I provide:
✅ Clear reasoning
✅ Philosophical grounding
✅ Historical understanding
✅ Confidence to resist coercion
I aim to help parents, students, and the public dismantle bad arguments and defend what is true.
3️⃣ Restore the Humanities to Their Real Purpose
All of that is aimed at returning the academy to the study of the big questions all humans face across time and cultures. Humanities education exists to ask and answer the universal questions:
What is the meaning of life?
What is eternal?
What is the highest good?
How do we know truth?
How can we become wise?
These are no longer allowed to be asked on their own terms. Every question must now be forced through the narrow lens of racial and gender power dynamics. All answers are “problematized” as shaped by “power structures” to defend “the oppressor class.” The result?
Students graduate without ever encountering the questions that make us human.
The radicals now running the humanities have abandoned wisdom and reason. They have lost the universal in a sea of isolated particulars.
My mission is to restore the humanities:
🟦 to pursue truth, not ideology
🟦 to seek what we share as humans, not what divides us
🟦 to teach the eternal, not merely the political
🟦 to form wise souls, not trained activists
This is what the American university was built to do—and must do again. You can see their their view (exposing power structures) is self-referentially absurd and hypocritical. That is, it contradicts itself (“we are exposing power structures to defend our power structure”) and these ideologues lead some of the easiest most economically secure lives in society.
Call out hypocrites and avoid their classes.
Signs of Progress — and the Work Ahead
We have already seen major improvements:
DEI is being driven underground at ASU—forced to rebrand because the public is waking up.
The days of privileging Butler-style gender sex theory as unquestionable truth are starting to end.
But the deeper roots remain. The professors who imposed racial essentialism and conflict theory on students have not repented. They are attempting cosmetic changes rather than real reform.
That brings me to the final piece of my mission:
Fourth, Public repentance for public harm.
If you have spent years teaching racism, you should not be allowed to claim you were “just misunderstood” when the public discovers what you really believe. You must acknowledge what you did—openly. And you must stop doing it.
I will continue:
monitoring how these ideologies adapt and disguise themselves
documenting abuses of public resources
reporting victories and setbacks
defending students who are targeted for non-compliance
This Substack is where you can follow that progress. Thank you for your support.
Why This Matters
If we lose the university, we lose the culture.
If we lose the humanities, we lose the soul.
Our students deserve better.
Our society needs better.
And truth demands better.
Thank you for standing with me.

Owen--excellent "Mission Statement". Thank you for fighting the good fight. You are in a unique position to observe, clarify and inform--and shine light into the darkness. You are appreciated and you are not alone.
That was a powerful and bold message from Dr. Owen Anderson standing firm for truth in the midst of darkness. It truly reminds me of what Scripture says: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them Ephesians 5:11 The battle for truth in education today is not just intellectual; it’s deeply spiritual. As the Apostle Paul said For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places Ephesians 6:12 We must continue to pray for men like Dr. Anderson those standing courageously in public institutions to be strengthened with wisdom and grace as they defend God’s truth The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding Proverbs 9:10 May God raise up more voices who will speak boldly, expose deception, and lead others back to the light of truth found only in Jesus Christ You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free John 8:32 Glory to God for His truth that endures forever!
