More Election Interference

This post isn’t about who you plan to vote for. You might be a Democrat or a Republican, support Trump, or be a never-Trumper. Whatever the case, hopefully, you agree that a state university should remain neutral.

I have already posted about the many Democrat speakers that ASU has platformed this election year. Now, my campus is bringing out Jeff Flake. You might say to yourself, “Well, that’s great, finally a Republican.” But no, Jeff Flake is a never-Trumper. This is just another effort to influence the election away from Trump.

One of the deans of New College is pushing Flake on us as a speaker. Will there be any pro-Trump speakers at any ASU campus this year? The clock is running, and it doesn’t look good. What should be done to a state university that tries to interfere in elections? Should ASU continue to be supported by the people of Arizona?
