An event at ASU promises to teach us about “linguistic justice.” Here is how it is advertised: “This event series is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community. In different and dynamic ways, each event intends to start conversations about linguistic diversity and linguistic justice. In a real sense, you are our ideal audience.” Aren’t you tired of using the same words as everyone else? I know I am. It's time we all use different words, each with its own meaning.
It reminds me of Humpty Dumpty in Through the Looking Glass. He tells Alice that he makes up meaning as he goes along. Alice, not understanding social justice, tries to explain to him that if we don’t have agreed-upon meanings, we can’t communicate. Alice needs to check her privilege.
“Linguistic justice,” coupled with ASU’s Humanities Institute taking on the horrors of “cultural appropriation,” really shows that a humanities education from ASU helps a student deal with the most difficult problems of our day. Never mind wisdom or the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness; we need linguistic justice. I’m sure the capitalists are behind it all somehow.
I also told you I would be sharing content from ASU courses shared by students. This content highlights how Marxism, in various forms, is deeply embedded in many ASU majors. In this case, it comes from Justice Studies. There, an introductory student learns about the wonderful revolutionary Karl Marx.
I know what you’re going to say. Shouldn’t we learn about Marx? He’s an important figure, after all. Yes, but let’s use “linguistic justice” and see how he is presented here. This module teaches students that Marx is merely a revolutionary who explained how societies rise and fall based on productive power. Sounds like a classical economist to me. That’s not Marx at all.
Now, more “linguistic justice.” How about this: Marx was a materialist who denied God’s existence, called Christianity an “opiate for the masses,” and whose ideas led to the mass murder of millions during the 20th century. Marx’s economic theory was falsified as a scientific hypothesis and has instead become the core of a cult following who refuse to acknowledge any evidence or argumentation showing Marx was wrong and incredibly harmful. Secular American humanities professors overwhelmingly subscribe to this cult and use their classrooms to promote its agenda on tax-payer money.
In my next examples, you will see how Justice Studies move from “nice guy Marx” to the problems of “whiteness” and “heteronormativity.” This will prove my point that it is not merely “learning about Marx.” It is applying Marxism to propagandize students. You’ve seen me discuss “whiteness” and “heteronormativity” as part of required faculty training at ASU. Now, you will see that they are taught to ASU students.
Parents, students, donors, legislators, and pastors, if this is the material students are taught, why would anyone want to go to ASU? It is time for ASU to apply its own standards outlined in its faculty policy manual. Remember, I am getting harrassed for being “too Christian” in my Introduction to Christianity class, but this material is just fine.
And unfortunately this is a university trend across the world and the indoctrination of these horrifying teachings are now starting as early as kindergarten and younger. One example is drag queens coming in to facilitate story hour for our young impressionable children. The list is long and scary and few are standing up to it! Let’s bring morality back!
