Devil's Country Expedition Entry #2

Field Journal of Devil's Country Expedition #2
I continue my exploration of the Devil’s Country and its leadership. My hope is that these reports can be used by future explorers to prepare them for what they will encounter.
I hear a kind of chanting. It is a low droning sound, almost hypnotic in its rhythm. It is a mantra that spells out the goals for their education: “Work for positive difference, work for positive difference, work for positive difference.” What could this mean? Finding out could be one of the keys to unlocking the motivations of this people.
I see two priestesses speaking to each other. I am generally not noticed. They have no need for me and so they contemptuously dismiss my presence. This is perfect for my anthropological studies and observation. I am practically invisible even while taking notes of everything.
They have a curious habit of saying “I see you” while only being able to see those they agree with. It is part of their hierarchy as well. They will complain endlessly about those who get hired or promoted for what they call “privilege,” but then they only hire and promote from within their own cult of beliefs.
These two are talking about “positive difference.”
“We must provide a safe space for our sexual practices to become public displays,” says one.
“Yes, all sexual experiences are safe and should be encouraged. We must destroy whatever remains of the heteronormites.”
“The best way is to make all topics revolve around sexual pleasure. We must portray the enemies as hating sexual pleasure and being intolerant.”
This was the first mention of “the enemies,” and so I paid even closer attention. Who are these enemies? What does their “positive difference” mean for their enemies? Hopefully, more observations will tell us the answer. But the conversation continued:
“We are the tolerant, and we are the omni-sexual.”
“It is positive difference.”
“It is positive difference,” repeated the other as they moved off out of my hearing.
So our first insight is that they have a program of “positive difference” that revolves around a sex philosophy aimed at ending what they call the heteronormites.
This is much bigger than I thought. My expedition journal entries will be of great benefit to new explorers.
This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons or circumstances, real or imagined, is purely coincidental.

Hey Doc, your expedition into the desert of AZ 🏜️ has some similarity to a previous adventure of a bad catholic down in the 🐊🦐⚜️ Louisiana Swamps 👨🏼🏫 ✍🏼 back in 1971, "Love in the Ruins" - Walker Percy. He noticed 🙋🏻♂️🙇🏻♀️🤦🏻 that college research and curriculum would eventually be all about the sex.... 🇺🇲 Best of luck on your journey! ☀️🔱 (& keep on knitting)
