ASU stabbing news update
Unbelievable but not
This is unbelievable-except it isn’t. I’ve been keeping you updated on the stabbing at ASU. The building pictured below is where I teach. The attack received very little attention compared to over violent attacks on university campuses. Today, Fox News reports that the violent attacker’s charges have been dropped to aggravated assault from first degree attempted murder. The attacker stated she premeditated the murder the night before. See her quoted below.
If you look back at my Substack notes, you will see I shared the insane comments of a person who may be an ASU professor. I say this because although he posted anonymously, and then even created a second anonymous account to continue harassing me once I blocked him, the comments read like others by a specific ASU Marxist professor. You can see how he has decided this is a matter of mental health and has nothing to do with ASU professors teaching race blame and hatred to students based on their social justice campaigns. I say we don’t know either way at this point and we need to be open the fact that ideas have consequences.
Some questions: Why did these charges get reduced? Why isn’t ASU telling us how they will address this issue to provide safety for all students? What is their plan going forward? I want to know that ASU does more than say they take safety seriously. I want to know their actual plans for doing so after this event. If I can’t be assured of safety at ASU, should I still be expected to teach in this building?

The state attorney of distract attorney needs to confer with the victim to reduce the charge. Check the Victim’s Assistance act. It’s a federal law and each state has adopted it as well. The victim has standing to assert her rights! You are correct. This was willful and premeditated. Why did the state reduce the charge? Seriously flawed. The judge did not have to accept the reduced charge either. Keep talking about this and refer to your representative and senator. Thank you for posting on substack.
