This is ASU’s follow-up to questions they could not answer at the Az Legislative hearing. Notice five things: First, they speak of centers that were closed after losing donor money, but they do not tell us of any center that was closed even though alternative funding was found. Second, they don’t address how digital advertising for the event was removed (why did this happen?). Third, they tell how a student can report a teacher’s misusing class time or retaliating. But they have now been given evidence of this. When will they move on that evidence? Fourth, nothing is mentioned of these Barrett Faculty writing their letter as Barrett Faculty, not as private citizens. And finally, they say Ms. Atkinson would be given a reference for other jobs at ASU, but why would she look if she was wrongfully terminated? And Lin Blake was fired from Gammage due to this event and tried to get other jobs at ASU, and none were offered.
ASU is treating this as a PR issue, not as a real problem that is rotting within. This won’t go away until they address the rot. Parents, potential students, donors, and legislators continue to pay attention and settle for nothing less than change for the better.
