Want to play a game? It’s fun. You’ll like it. Do you know the game Six Degrees of Separation to Kevin Bacon? This is like that, but with only three steps. I call it 3-Steps to a Marxist.
As you know, radical leftist professors often hide their intentions behind moralizing platitudes. But some well-meaning people use those same platitudes. So a student needs to know how to tell the difference. In most cases, if you’re in a philosophy, gender studies, one of the other grievance classes. a literature class, history, you already know the answer. Those programs discriminate against conservatives in their hiring to secure a 97% ideological conformity. But what if you’re not sure?
Let’s start with an example. A professor says to the class:
“We should love everyone.”
Okay, sounds good. But now is where the 3-steps come in. Within three steps, you can usually find out if this professor is a Marxist by simply asking what they mean by that. Let’s try it out:
Student: What does it mean to love everyone?
Professor: It means forcibly taking money from the rich through taxation to give to the poor.
Well, that was only one step. Sometimes it happens fast. Let’s try another:
Professor: We should lift up the marginalized.
Student: Who are the marginalized?
Professor: The economically disadvantaged—especially the non-white and gender non-conforming.
That was just one step, too. These are going fast. Let’s try another:
Professor: We want to be a safe space.
Student: What do you mean by “safe space”?
Professor: We reject heteronormativity and any religious book, like the Bible, that teaches humans come from the union of a man and a woman. Instead, we encourage sexual exploration and even polyamory, the end goal of which is union with the goddess.
This is a lot easier than I thought. Maybe the game should be called 1-Step.
How about this one:
Professor: we help the incarcerated.
Student: how do you help them?
Professor: we teach them to write manifestos against the structurally racist system that forced them into a life of crime and violence.
Yes, just one step, they make it so obvious.
But as you can see, the principle is simple enough. The leftist professors who rule humanities departments help themselves sleep at night after a hard day of “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law” by telling themselves, “I just want everyone to feel loved.”
What they mean by love is always some form of Luciferian or Marxist dystopia.
As long as you do so respectfully, it’s perfectly fine to ask your professors what they mean when they send out these platitudes aimed at easing their own conscience. Let me know how many Marxists you find.
I wound up in a back and forth with one such self-righteous moral narcissist in my FB, a guy I drove from SF to Iowa with in the much more innocent early 90s, when he was a Mennonite. He's since married a black woman. Anyway, he posted a cartoon of a white man saying that America is for everyone except black brown blah blah....with which I suppose I am long past my limit...when I said as much, he accused ME of taking welfare away from people....I said hey, these able-bodied guys standing on a street corner in my neighborhood can get jobs and get off welfare! He then asked me what I am doing to HELP THEM....seriously. This Karen is going to walk over to where the Crips and Bloods are selling drugs...and HELP THEM. Never mind that his own white savior racism was on display with the mere suggestion that it's my responsibility to help gangsters get jobs...
